Evan Marder was born in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up in Wilmington, Delaware. Evan has been a passionate cannabis advocate and grower since the mid 1980’s, purchasing his first “Phototron Growth Chamber” at the age of 17. He honed his business and management skills in the hospitality industry over the course of 25 years while also continuing to grow cannabis as a hobby. Evan moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2001 and very soon after became a legal cannabis patient allowed to grow cannabis at home. In 2014 when Nevada established laws to allow for cannabis businesses, Evan gambled his entire life savings and livelihood and started a company he named Matrix NV. Evan successfully attracted investors for his project, guided the entire licensing, design, and construction aspects of it all, built the business from the ground up and in April 2016 opened it’s doors as its Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all day to day operations. Evan successfully navigated through the very difficult medical marijuana market and led his company to great success. In July 2017, Nevada implemented recreational marijuana laws, and again, Evan led his company to even greater success and notoriety being one of the best known and sought-after brands in the Nevada cannabis industry. Evan left his position as COO in June 2018 to pursue other opportunities and in June 2019 he became the Director of Cultivation of Fleur Cannabis, overseeing all day to day operations, which as he puts it “was and is a dream come true”.

Steven “Sven” Blum was born in Clearwater, Florida in 1984. He moved to Las Vegas in 1989 and has called it home ever since. Sven has been passionate about cannabis for as long as he can remember and became a medical marijuana patient in Nevada in 2009. Since that time Sven has been an avid grower of cannabis with his patient grows while getting as much hands on experience as possible while also gaining knowledge from highly respected growers he had known most of his life who operated out of Southern California prior to the legal market starting in Nevada in 2015. Since the inception of the medical marijuana market in 2015, Sven worked for two well-known cultivators in Las Vegas as their vegetation manager and plant inventory control specialist prior to coming to Fleur Cannabis. Sven has been with Fleur since September 2017 and became the cultivation manager in December 2018. In the words of our Director of Cultivation, Evan Marder “Sven is the best grow manager I have had the pleasure to work with and has outstanding organizational and management skills. He manages the Fleur cultivation team daily by leading by example and is never afraid to get his hands dirty in the soil or do back breaking work. He has also gained a wealth of knowledge over the years about cannabis cultivation and natural farming”. Sven’s motto for any current or up and coming cultivator is “stay humble and stay hungry”.
